Malaysia's former first lady, Jeanne Danker Abdullah was conferred Malaysia's highest Title together with her Husband, Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. I have to respect His Majesty's decision on this but really, it's my personal opinion that Jeanne should have recieved it much later just like the former first ladies of Malaysia except Tun Dr.Siti Hasmah.
Tun Dr.Siti was first lady for 23 years and her contributions to Malaysia can be written in volumes. The world knows Tun Dr.Siti and her vast capabilities and contributions, she certainly deserved to be conferred this prestigious title with her husband. Tun Dr.Siti Hasmah was also one of the first Female Malay Doctors in Malaysia, she studied and sailed through the Japanese occupancy.
When we look at Tunku Abdul Rahman's & Tun Razak's wives, they recieve their Tunship after the death of their husbands. I stand firm on my opinion that Jeanne should have been made Tun at least 10 years later, i feel that the late Datin Paduka Seri Endon Mahmood deserves the Tunship now but this was the decision of His Majesty & i respect it that way.
