Over the last couple of years Malaysia has been witnessing beauty pagents based on race. The Ms.India Malaysia in particular seems to be fully backed by MIC in terms of moral support.
I find this rather disgusting and shameful simply because these contestants who are mostly children of the 80s and 90s are Malaysian born, they are fully Malaysian, they mostly studied in Government Schools, they were raised in Malaysia. Their grandparent's country of origin don't recognize them as nationals and most of these contestants have no links with their grandparent's country of origin. So what's with the race labelled in the front of Malaysia?
I believe that our beauty pagents and crown should be one seat which is Ms.Malaysia, freedom for beauty queens representing Malaysian states is perfectly fine but it should never be based on race! It's highly nonsensical and absolutely illogical and it must be ceased immediately! Even more shitty is when the Malaysia Indians hold beauty pagents such as Ms.Sri Lanka Malaysia & Ms.Malayalee Malaysia! To begin with, parents of these children are highly likely suffering from an identity crisis! This is Malaysia, not India or China. Make up your mind for heaven's sake!
