In conjunction with my late mum's birthday today, i would like to bring to the attention of all women regarding Mixed Mullerian Tumour of the uterus. This was what my mum battled with for three and a half years and lost to cancer last year. I prefer to make it as short as possible, Mixed Mullerian Tumours are highly notorious, evil and merciless, in most cases, highly terminal even when detected at early stages.
I would rather refrain from elaborating further so as to minimize fear, however, i would suggest to all women from the age of 40-60 to go for yearly pap smears & mammograms. An MRI Scan of the pelvic would be good, once in three years would be beneficial so as to know the exact picture of what's going on inside.
For women who have completed their menopause and if bleeding occurs after that, it's a sign not to be ignored and could spell danger. So women out there, be aware of the changes that your body undergoes and do go for regular medical check ups as i have mentioned above. The recommended treatment would be high end Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy & possibly, oral chemotherapy.
