It rather depresses me that in this time and age, racism still exist to a certain extent and in some situations, to a large extent. In multi cultural and cosmopolitan country like Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, race should never be thought about, yes the situation has improved over the years but it does exist and it can be rather annoying and disgusting.
I have come across people lately in Kuala Lumpur where they have expressed dissatisfaction against the Chinese, having listened to all they had to say, i found it rather offensive, insensitive and it did certainly smack of racism! I was rather shocked! I hope Malaysia is heading towards the right direction and i hope that mutual understanding, respect & fairness be thought and practiced by the Malaysian Government, the government has to be a role model for peace, respect, fairness and mutual understanding.
Yes, discrimination does exist in Australia, New Zealand and the UK but that doesn't mean that Malaysia is on right track! Malaysia certainly has do improve and educate her self in these vital areas in enhancing and preserving national unity and solidarity.
