Britain's Biggest Baby !

Aww...Sweetie !!!

One of the biggest babies ever to be born in Britain has weighed in at an eye-watering 13lbs and 15oz

Sharon Needham, 35, gave birth to Harry by caesarian section at Doncaster Royal Infirmary because he was too big for a natural birth.

Coming into the world weighing just one ounce under a full stone, he is the largest baby to be delivered at the hospital since computer records began in 1994.

Harry is so big, his parents are already dressing him in clothes designed for three to six-month-olds.

Ms Needham and her partner Paul Crossland were stunned when nurses handed them their new baby.

The mother of five said: "When the nurses popped him over the curtain we were both speechless. I thought they'd given me someone else's baby."

She added that there is no history of big babies in the family.

Britain's heaviest newborn to date is Guy Warwick Carr, delivered in Cumbria in 1992 weighing 15lb 8oz.

The heaviest baby surviving birth was a boy born weighing 22lb and 8oz in Aversa, Italy, in 1955.
